EMBEDDED CONTROL FOR 3D PRINTABILITY

Smart control system for microscale additive manufacturing

The goal of these embedded control systems is to ensure printability in additive manufacturing with ceramic pastes through synergistic control embedded in 3D printers specifically designed for the microscale. An example is the project ‘Additive Manufacturing for the Development of Ceramic Components in Different Applications’ and ‘Rheological Optimisation of Ceramic Pastes for 3D Printing’ developed at VITROCER/UFSC in the context of the Postgraduate Programme in Materials Science and Engineering at UFSC.

Automatic and energy self-sufficient systems

Measuring and monitoring, executing automatic operations independently with energy sufficiency is the objective of developing these Autonomous Measurement, Monitoring and Testing Systems. An example of this work is S.A.I.R.A. - Automatic Bird Audio Reproduction System developed in partnership with LABECAN-UFAL.

ENERGY SMART MANAGEMENT

Smart Management for Renewable Energy Systems.

The project consists of developing technologies for the area of ​​electronic instrumentation. It aims to use open microcontroller platforms to design multi-measurement instruments for electrical parameters. This action focuses on Integration of metrology, computing and engineering to create innovative energy measurement and control solutions. We adopt IOT, Artificial Intelligence, Systems Analysis and Programming technologies with the goal of achieving an automatic, autonomous and intelligent system for energy control in sustainable buildings.

SUSTAINABLE HOSTEL

Intelligent Management for Sustainable Hostel: Ecological solution

This project consists of the development of technologies for the use of energy, hydro-sanitary, architectural and civil construction resources aiming at the maintenance and operation of a guesthouse oriented towards the well-being of the individual integrated with nature. It is a partnership between the ITM Research Group and the Company Trilha do Mar - Ecological Hosting. Located in front of a natural preservation area located in Marechal Deodoro, Alagoas - Brazil, this action is divided into five distinct projects in the areas of: energy management, water management, thermal comfort and reuse of resources.

SUSTAINABLE URBAN MOBILITY

A proposal for urban mobility for students using electric bicycles

This project has been developing technological solutions such as adaptation kits to transform ordinary bicycles into electric ones. It also involves the development of energy management control systems for electric bicycles, charging systems - Eletroposto, shared use management systems and other actions that aim to publicize and encourage the use of electric bicycles by public school students in Brazil .

AGRIVOLTAICS FARM - AGROSOLAR

A proposal for sustainable photovoltaic projects with income generation.

This project is a partnership between H2C Investimentos, ITM-Grupo de Pesquisa and ABVILA - human development NGO. The work consists of disseminating, promoting and technological support for the implementation of Agro-Solar Farms with the aim of innovating the use of photovoltaic systems, empowering vulnerable communities and encouraging agricultural production through digital technologies for the control and management of production. A pilot project took place in 2021 in the city of Porto de Pedras, Alagoas where a small agro-solar plant was set up in a public square. The local community can use resources freely, with the rational and correct use of photovoltaic systems.
